Troup County Clerk of Court receives district honor - April 27, 2010
Troup County Clerk of Court Jackie Taylor, center, got a surprise reception Friday at the Government Center after she was named District Clerk of the Year in a vote among her colleagues in 17 counties, including Troup, Heard, Meriwether, Coweta, Carroll, Butts, Clayton, DeKalb, Fayette, Fulton, Henry, Lamar, Monroe, Pike, Rockdale, Spalding and Upson. ‘I’m deeply honored,’ said Taylor, who was joined by son, Jared, and Chief Deputy Clerk Sherry Welborn when she was presented with the plaque. Georgia’s Clerk of the Year will be named at a training conference later this month.
